The most expensive and dreaded workers' compensation claims involve back injuries. We have partnered with leading back safety experts to produce a world-class back and spine education seminar unlike any in the industry. This all-day event is a train-the-trainer session that will make anyone an expert in preventing back injuries in the workplace.

Our instructors include ergonomic experts, medical doctors, licensed dietitians and certified personal trainers. We award the Certified Back Safety Professional (CBSPTM) certification upon successful completion of The Back Safety AcademyTM program and the companion ergonomic program developed and presented by our partner, The Back School TM .

Ted Skinner CEAS III, CET

Founder and Lead Instructor

Ted has been in the safety and risk management field for over 47 years. He is the President and CEO of Prestige Business Solutions, LLC and oversees all company operations. His professional certifications include: a Level 3 Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist in Advanced Ergonomics (CEAS III), a Certified Back Safety Professional (CBSP), a Certified Ergonomic Technician (CET), and an Advanced Office Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (AOEAS). He also worked as a claims adjuster in workers’ compensation, and served as a Safety Director / Risk Manager for 3 Fortune 500 companies.

Dr. Matt Germain

Licensed Chiropractic Doctor

Dr. Germain is a registered Doctor of Chiropractic medicine in Georgia with a multiple location practice in the Atlanta area. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from The University of Georgia in 1994 and then earned his doctorate degree at Life Chiropractic University. Matt is now the owner and CEO of the Back to Balance Wellness Center. The vision of Back to Balance is to relieve the pain and injury patients are suffering from, while also improving the quality of their life. He spent 3 years as a doctor at The Atlanta Spine Center and enjoys teaching about chiropractic medicine as it relates to the back and well-being.

Jackie Warren RD, LD

Licensed Dietitian, Wellness Coach

Jackie Warren is a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian and professional wellness consultant. She has over ten years of experience in wellness as a health coach, director of operations and wellness consultant for Corporate Health Partners where she implemented and managed health management programs for 40+ clients. Jackie has had a private practice as a dietitian for fifteen years working with a diverse clientele where she focuses on weight loss and prevention. She earned a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Georgia State University and a BA in English Literature from Belmont University.

Donna Shipman

Certified Personal Trainer

Donna is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has worked as a Certified Personal Trainer for Benchmark Physical Therapy and Gold’s Gym. Currently, she is the owner and lead personal trainer at Competitive Fitness Solutions located in Woodstock, GA. Additionally, she is certified in CPR through Medic First Aid and studying to become a dual specialist in women's and senior fitness.

Amelia Harkleroad

Marketing & Sales Director

Amelia is the Marketing and Sales Director for Prestige Business Solutions, LLC. She graduated Cum Laude from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Communication and Rhetorical Studies and a minor in Sociology. Amelia is responsible for all of the administrative duties of The Back Safety Academy including sales, marketing and assisting with course development.

Rick Hughes

Photographer / Graphics Director

Rick has been a photographer for over 26 years. His work has been seen on the pages of ESPN Magazine, Marie Claire, Ocean Drive, Good Housekeeping, Redbook among many others. Besides being a world-renowned professional photographer, he is also the President and founder of Warriors Eye, LLC which is a charity devoted to helping our veterans adjust to society after they return from the horrors of war.
