Industrial Hygiene Testing
We offer a wide range of professional industrial hygiene testing services and specialize in industrial sound level testing and air sampling to quantify airborne contaminant risks in the workplace. Our services are available throughout the Southeast United States, but we concentrate most of our work in the North Georgia and Atlanta areas.
Detailed analysis of lab and testing results are included within a very detailed report custom written for each client. All of our work is OSHA compliant and we use only experience and well-trained field technicians including Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH).

Noise Level Testing
Sound levels in the workplace are regulated by OSHA because of the serious irreversible damage to the ears if sound is over 85 dBA averaged over an eight hour shift. OSHA compliant testing cannot be performed using a phone app or cheap sound level meter. We test with state-of-the-art professional quality Class 1 sound level meters and noise dosimeters calibrated at the mandated 114dB tone.
If significant issues are discovered that cannot immediately be corrected using a combination of engineering controls, administrative controls or personal protective equipment we work closely with certified acoustic engineers to lower sound levels. We often create highly detailed sound maps of an area to pinpoint the source of the louder noises and work with the client to develop an OSHA Hearing Conservation Program. Evaluation of the effectiveness of hearing protection is one of many steps involved in sound mitigation.

Air Sampling
The air employees breathe while working can cause both short term (acute) and long term (chronic) damage to not only the respiratory system, but nervous and circulatory systems too. Our special staff of Certified Industrial Hygienists and experienced field industrial hygiene technicians perform meticulous testing at your workplace.

We utilize one of the world's largest and most respected analytical laboratories to perform scientific analysis of each sample. SGS Galson Laboratories has been a partner of ours for decades. Once the sometimes complicated and hard to understand lab results are finished, then we simply the results so that the average business owner or supervisor can understand and comprehend the results. A comprehensive detailed report is then supplied to each client for official legal and regulatory documentation.

Wipe Testing
Some of the chemicals that employees use in their jobs as well as biological agents such as mold can cause severe damage such as chemical burns, nerve damage and even hearing loss. They may not be chemicals that are inhaled by employees but may be on worksurfaces and absorbed through touch. Wipe testing is an industrial hygiene testing procedure where premoistened special swabs are wiped across a surface to collect the sometimes microscopic or practically invisible agents. We perform these types of tests for chemicals such as lead as an example. We also test for asbestos and mold as required.
